Start from Dunhuang's hotel lobby at 9:00 am in the morning. Then visit Mogao Grottoes first, Located in the southeast of Dunhuang City, the Mogao Grottoes are about 25 kilometers away from the city. The Dongruoguan Fire Grottoes are located on the cliffs of Mingsha Shandong Province. It is the largest treasure house of classical art in China and also the center of Buddhist art.

Mogao Grottoes were built in the first year of Taihe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (366 AD). Legend has it that a party named Lezun passed by, and suddenly saw the golden light shining. It seemed that a thousand Buddhas appeared. They thought this was the holy place of Buddhism. They raised money everywhere and excavated the first grotto. After the news spread, business travelers sent to build Grottoes here in order to have a safe journey. It lasted until the Yuan Dynasty and lasted for more than 1000 years.

Dunhuang is a splendid tourist attraction of the Silk Road in China, and the world-famous Mogao Grottoes are a hot spot.

There are 492 caves and more than 2,000 statues, of which the largest is 33 meters and the smallest is only 10 centimeters.
